Capital Smart City Islamabad - The Nation’s Smart Capital
A Brief History When Pakistan came into being in the August of 1947, the first capital of the country was Karachi. However, later due to some political, social and defense issues, Islamabad was made the capital in 1967. The city is known for its lavish lifestyle, a safe region and a beautiful area with greenery all around. The city was not always like this; Islamabad is a planned city which was developed under a team of Greek architects led by Konstantinos Apostolos Dioxides. The same person is accredited for his contributions in the development of Riyadh, the Saudi Arabia capital. As Islamabad is the capital and also home for several high-profile personalities, the city is constantly developed and constant changes are made to it to make it an even better place.
